Vice President - Engineering/Technology - Internet/Online

Position : VP Engineering / Technology

Location : B'lore and Gurgaon

Report to : CTO

Key Result Area :

- Accountability for product delivery, performance, and quality.

- Hands-on management with deep-dive into the details of Software design, implementation and debugging, Software quality and Configuration Management, and will motivate and mentor our development staff to produce the best products in the industry.

- Manage multiple projects across a wide breadth of technologies, coordinate dependencies and interactions with other internal teams and external partners.

- Strong understanding of full stack networking, scalable web back-end, mobile app and mobile platform technologies.

- Train and develop management and technical leaders within your groups

- Assist your teams in developing road maps for system and product growth, then identify, plan, and execute projects to support that growth

- Closely monitor and guide product releases/updates

- Represent your team to senior leadership and other groups to build a challenging vision and ensure you have the resources to deliver it

- Define vision for excellence for your teams, and then deliver on it

- Attract and retain top engineering talent

Desired Candidate Profile :

- B.Tech in Computer Science/IT/EE with 10+ years of progressive industry experience.

- You should love to code

- Experience hiring and growing a product development team.

- Solid understanding of business processes and the application of technology to implement them.

- Strong leadership and communication (synchronous and asynchronous) skills

- Hands on management experience building engineering teams and scaling organizations to deliver and maintain complex systems

- Hands on experience managing and developing engineering managers

- Hands on development experience scaling complex systems

- Ability to communicate, downward and upward, from holding meetings to formal presentations
