Position: VP - Engineering Job Location: Bangalore Experience: 15 to 20 yrs Qualification: B.Tech / B.E / MCA Major Responsibilities: As Chief Engineering Officer you will be responsible for the firm's product / IP development initiate- - Coordinate and work closely with the Chief Architect and Head of Product Management - Help set the technical vision and road map for the products, and then lead the development of the entire product / offering set - Will lead onshore and offshore IP labs Competencies and Traits - Full stack engineer, with experience of leading a team of engineers for cutting edge product development - Experience in Front-end technologies incl. mobility (e.g.:- React, Angular, Ionic, Cordova, Mobile Development Platforms- ) - Experience in Back-end technologies (e.g.: - No SQL databases - Mongo and Couch), - Experience in MEAN Stack - At ease with both enterprise and digital technologies - Demonstrable experience of building / enhancing a winning tech engineering team- - Experience and understanding of the Insurance domain (Good to have) - Willingness to engage with and work closely with client teams- - Hands-on where required.- Willingness to lead from the front - Excellent people management skills Education and Experience: - Software engineer, with 15-20 years of experience - Minimum 5 years in a leadership role - Experience in leading the development agenda in a technology company - Full stack development and architect experience is a must - Preferable experience of both enterprise and digital tech product development Technologies and Platforms such as : - BPM, Development of RAD Tools, Micro services,, - Front end development technologies (HTML 5, Angular JS), No SQL databases Case Management, Data analytics (Good to have) - Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff - Ability to think and act strategically and proactively - Strong writing and presentation skills Note: Candidates from product development companies are preferred to apply.
