 Description - VP of engineering will work closely with product and business organizations on day to day basis to align the roadmap to achieve the same and deliver on time.

Job Description : 

- Set the technical vision and strategy towards a unified front-end system for all and enroll engineers in the shared vision and purpose.

- Be a hands-on technologist with strong business acumen, with the ability to architect high performance and highly scalable solutions in line with the demanding needs of the biz.

- Provide technology leadership to the broader engineering organisation by mentoring Engg talent

- Create a technology blueprint for the product stack and drive thoughtfulness and long term thinking around architecture, design and implementation.

- Identify opportunities for creating platforms and products for driving technology differentiation and agility for the business.

- Make sound hiring decisions, build high-performing teams and continuously raise the talent bar.

- The ability to anticipate problems well in advance and challenges the team to future proof solutions by redesigning or re-architecting them.

- Accountable for the group's system performance, scalability and availability metrics.

- Champions automated mechanisms for system (including data) health monitoring, fault detection and recovery.

Profile :

- Should have proven track record of building consumer facing products at scale. This person should be extremely self-motivated and willing to lead from the front.

- Should have a successful history of building and motivating strong, world-class teams, applying strategic thinking, and executing effectively to deliver a track record of sustained accomplishments.

- Strong technical & product background with the ability to command the respect and lead a team of world class software engineers

- Must demonstrate strong business capabilities and a passion to drive consumer satisfaction.

- Demonstrated success in a highly challenging environment. Specifically, can show experience as to how he/she can adapt to many differing personalities as well as differing goals and intentions.

- Prior success in driving and leveraging industry standards and adoption within products as a competitive advantage will be a plus.

- Demonstrated ownership of multiple products engineering efforts and experience in making the trade-offs on expectations (schedule, requirements, resource allocations) required to achieve business success.

- Hands on experience with java, redis, kafka, mongodb is a must in earlier roles.
