Vice President - Engineering - IT

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering team and drive the development of our cutting-edge technology products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading teams around modern cloud technologies, scalable architectures, and expertise in modern technologies. Proven leadership skills and a track record of delivering innovative solutions are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the engineering team, inspiring and motivating them to achieve exceptional results.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Team Management: Manage and develop a high-performing engineering team ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to meet project objectives and deliver high-quality products. Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team.

- Technology Strategy: Drive the development and execution of the company's technology strategy, staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Make informed decisions regarding technology stack, architectural design, and infrastructure scalability.

- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management and design, to align priorities and ensure smooth project execution.

- Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of modern cloud technologies, scalable architectures, and relevant frameworks like lit. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, helping them overcome challenges and make informed decisions.

- Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and executives, to ensure alignment of engineering goals with overall business objectives. Champion a culture of open communication and knowledge sharing.

- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality software products. Promote best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with the HR team to identify, attract, and hire top engineering talent. Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process, evaluating candidates based on technical expertise, leadership potential, and cultural fit.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

- Proven experience in a leadership role within the engineering function, preferably as a Vice President of Engineering or a similar position.

- Strong knowledge and experience with modern cloud technologies and scalable architectures.

- Expertise in modern technologies like lit is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing engineering teams.
