We are looking for a VP of Engineering to work closely with strategic leadership team and build the Engineering and Data Science teams. Title: VP- Engineering Experience:14+ years Qualification: Graduate in Engineering from a Tier1 academic institution Job Location: Bangalore Job Type: Permanent Major Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of engineers and data scientists focused on developing, scaling the company products/platforms. - Work closely with our product team in designing and implementing our platform strategy. - Provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, implementation, and delivery of our data driven platform and applications. - Foster a collaborative culture that is equally focused on achieving team goals and each individual team member's fulfillment and growth. - Implement /execute technical best practices across Data Engineering, Data Science, and Machine Learning in partnership with the Engineering team, define and iterate the technical architecture and stack to enable high performing and scalable processing capabilities that lead to measurable business outcomes. - Associate with your Data Science/ Machine Learning team, determine how to leverage best in class techniques and tools to deliver actionable insights to customers. - Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Senior Leadership and executive team to define and build data-informed technology strategy and roadmaps. Prerequisite: - Proven success in leading engineering and data science teams in rapid product development. - Strong technical domain experience and develop the engineering team - Prior experience in the technical development and deployment of marketplace technology - Demonstrated success of building a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability. - Prior experience in the technical development and deployment of marketplace technology - Prior experience with Python/Django/Flask backend stack. - Prior experience of JavaScript technologies (TypeScript, Angular4.0&amp;above, Express, NodeJS etc.) would be a big plus. - Solid understanding and implementation experience in microservices Architecture or Infrastructure. - Knowledge or prior experience in machine learning and data science would definitely be a big plus.
