We are looking for an experienced VP of engineering to manage a diverse development teams. The responsibilities of a VP of engineering include leading a team of developers and engineers, collaborating with product managers, and improving company policies and standards.

- To be successful as a VP of engineering, you should have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver. Ultimately, a top-notch VP of engineering should demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to connect with other engineers and developers, and have a solid foundation in software design.

Job Responsibilities:

- Build the entire Technology roadmap of the company to scale

- Hands-on lead in Java, Spring boot, AWS etc

- Leading the technology & engineering team through management and mentorship.

- Technologies well versed with: Java, Spring boot, Redshift, Angular, AWS, IOT, BLE, AI, ML

- Contributing to recruitment activities & building team

- Developing standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent.

- Preparing and optimizing budgets.

- Recommending technological developments and improvements inefficiency.

- Developing the team to ensure quality end products.

- Work closely with Management to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers

- Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources

- Lead the application scope and objectives and preparing functional and/or technical specifications.

- Lead the integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.

- Provides support and monitors the system. Facilitates small group design sessions or code reviews and participates in vendor evaluation.

- Collaborates with geographically diverse associates and external vendor partners to get work accomplished

- Ensure adherence to enterprise and team processes, procedures and guidelines

- Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement

Job Requirements:

- Engineering or similar degree.

- IIT, NIT, IIIT or BITS is a must

- Technologies we work on: Java, Spring boot, Redshift, Angular, AWS, IOT, BLE, AI, ML

- Strong organizational leadership skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent Analytical skills

- Able to manage and build large technology and product teams

- Startup tech experience will be a plus plus.

- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams.

- Maintain and optimize budgets to meet goals.

- Hands-on in Java Technology/Backend/Devops is a plus plus. Two of the three is a must have.

- Experience in recruiting engineers and contributors.

- Previous working experience in software design and developing customer-orientated platforms.

- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

- Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management.
