Description - You will be responsible for owning the backend stack and working with the product and partnership teams to scale it to 100s of millions of users. You will also be responsible to build processes for managing these teams and help scale the engineering teams.

Job Description:

Reporting to the CTO and closely working with the Co-Founders, your responsibilities will include the following:

- Lead and grow a world-class engineering team through mentorship, guidance and career development

- Lead partnerships with Product Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to find the optimal way to scale the infrastructure


- Build and manage product infrastructure, data infrastructure and offline systems


- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure high degree of alignment, ruthless prioritisation, timely releases of infrastructure enhancements in support of critical company initiatives


- Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organisation's and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts


- Work with the engineering management team to develop new initiatives and improve existing processes across the entire engineering team, around code quality, technical mentorship, staffing, recruiting and retention


- Work closely with Recruiting to expand the team, including sourcing candidates, interviewing candidates, participating in conferences/events and on-boarding new employees


Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field

- 15+ years of experience in leading and managing teams within an engineering organisation

- 5+ years leading and managing infrastructure teams, including DevOps & SRE in a large scale organisation handling millions of users per month


- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
