Vice President - Employment Relations

Core Job Requirements - Ability to supervise and guide the existing employment relation team on variety of issues concerning but not limited employee attrition, job abandonment, performance improvement plan and other matters concerning employee claims.

Experience in strategizing litigation approach before various labour courts in India. Ability to lead communications and provide update on strategic issues to senior management. Ability to provide expertise to HR Business partners and Business heads and Operation Group on labor and employment law matters. The roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

a. Reviewing and responding to the issues raised by employee relations team on a daily basis

b. Reviewing responses to employee queries and providing an adequate response to the employeerelations team to be shared with employee

c. Addressing and helping in any legal notices and claims from employee along with concerned employeerelations personnel.

d. Attending to court matters concerning Employment law related issues. Ensuring compliance of India Legal entities on all India related employment law compliances.

e. Interactions with outside counsel on employment law compliance and potential employee issues from a legal point of view.

f. Reviewing and addressing queries raised by employeerelations team on policies & procedures

g. Working closely with cross functional teams on shared assignments

h. Performance review of the allocated team, mentoring and guidance on performance improvements.

i. Subject matter expertise in employment law and ability to address queries requiring interpretation of labour laws.

j. Prompt responses to assignments and adaptability/flexibility to meet customer needs.

Education- Qualification in Law / MBA in HR with work experience in Employee relations as a specialization.

- Proficiency in written and spoken English. Ability to make good PowerPoint presentations would be an added advantage

Industry- IT & ITES companies, BFSI Captive organizations.

- Awareness of Global / APAC employment laws is desirable.
