Qualifications and Requirements:
- Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role within the Manufacturing or Export industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Garment Manufacturing processes and export logistics
- Strong understanding of software development, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation
- Demonstrated success in leading technology teams and implementing innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Job Summary: In the context of the garment manufacturing unit, the VP's role in Industry 4.0 involves leveraging advanced technologies to transform and optimize the entire production process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with business goals and growth objectives.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing emerging technologies relevant to garment manufacturing and export processes.
2. Digital Transformation:
- Lead the digital transformation efforts, ensuring the integration of technology across all aspects of the business, from design and production to supply chain and logistics.
- Implement automation and Industry 4.0 principles to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay informed about the latest technological developments and assess their relevance to the garment manufacturing unit.
3. Smart Factory Implementation
- Lead the implementation of smart manufacturing technologies to create a connected and intelligent factory environment.
- Integrate Internet of Things (IoT) devices to collect real-time data from machines, sensors, and other production equipment
4. IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of a robust IT infrastructure that supports manufacturing operations, data management, and communication.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data through effective cybersecurity measures.
- Implement smart systems that enable communication and coordination between physical processes and digital systems.
5. Software Development:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop and implement software solutions that improve manufacturing processes, inventory management, and customer relationship management.
- Lead the development of customized software tailored to the unique needs of the garment manufacturing and export industry.
- Implement data analytics tools and algorithms to analyze large datasets generated by the manufacturing processes to facilitate real-time decision-making based on data collected from various sources.
6. Supply Chain Technology:
- Implement technology solutions to optimize supply chain processes, enhance visibility, and improve overall efficiency through optimization of the entire supply chain, from raw material sourcing to distribution.
- Use advanced analytics to improve demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics
7. Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the technology department
8. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing return on investment.
- Provide regular reports on technology-related expenditures and performance
9. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to Technology and Data Management
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for technology-related issues
