Job Tittle - Vice President Job Location : Pune Experience - 14 yrs+ PFB the Job details- Database Services - Database services is global team with presence in India, Singapore, UK and US supporting all different flavours of database offerings for all business clusters. Database operations capability is being delivered from Pune for global stakeholders in 24 X 7 support model.&nbsp; Key specific accountabilities. - - Service Delivery of a major component of operating platform and database infrastructure services.&nbsp; - Accountable for supporting and ensuring stability of a large, complex, production database environment (8000+ DBMS installations) - Creation and maintenance of run-books&nbsp; - Delivery of database change to agreed levels, quality and cost through the leadership of a team of 30+ FTE and complex contractual supplier base - Maintaining the SLA's for Events, Incident, Change and PR&nbsp; - Quality and cost management of IT database infrastructure&nbsp; - Deliver an acceptable risk and compliance profile&nbsp; - Influence the strategic direction to IT infrastructure&nbsp; - Accountable to ensure all change is tracked and implemented as per process &nbsp;- Creation of root cause analysis and ensuring remediation is implemented&nbsp; - Accountable for the recruitment of resources required to meet future demand&nbsp; - Ensuring appropriate key measures and performance indicators are in place to enable progress to be exhibited against performance targets&nbsp; &nbsp;- Develop and deliver innovative solutions to provide better service delivery to our clients.&nbsp; - Ensure clients/customers are kept up to date on progress of request, managing messages and setting expectations. - Ensure the team deliver and provide a first class service to internal and external customers on the Database Platform.&nbsp; - Personnel management of a team of 9+ direct reports providing direction and support - Ensuring that the whole team is fully aligned and delivering to the Service Delivery processes&nbsp; - Responsible for performance review and management of all direct reports, involved in overseeing performance and development of all staff within the department - Establishing and agreeing the requirements for resource to ensure skills are available to meet current and future work demands on the function - Accountable for the compliance delivery of all members of the team - Ensure that communications and people initiatives are effectively completed for specified locations&nbsp; &nbsp;- Tracking and guiding members of other- teams to ensure they deliver to the agenda&nbsp; - Review and approval of proposals roadmaps from other teams to ensure convergence with the service roadmap&nbsp; - Undertake work outside of direct responsibility when required on behalf of the Platforms, Distributed Technologies leadership team - Manage external providers including Microsoft and MSP providers to ensure their participation in Service Operation. Track and report their service management performance&nbsp; Stakeholder Management and Leadership - - Manage the key stakeholders, suppliers &amp; outsourced operations - Represent the Database Service to teams including Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Security, BCM&nbsp; - Peer with the Head of Database Risk and Product Managers to ensure Service Operation is delivered to agreed definitions and roadmaps&nbsp; - Manage internal stakeholders including Sourcing, Internal Audit, Group Risk and Group Security&nbsp; - Manage key suppliers including Microsoft and MSP providers. Negotiate with external suppliers around service SLA- s, contract pricing, terms and conditions - Create and present business cases to senior management&nbsp; - Provide direction, support and act as a first point of contact for all team queries. - Manage upwards and sideways in the Infrastructure as a Services and Platform as a Service organizations in Infrastructure Services to deliver on internal and external coordinated incident and change.&nbsp; Experience and Personal Skills - - Extensive experience in understanding the specific challenges that are faced when providing Database Infrastructure, with over 4 years practical experience leading delivery. - Experience in diagnosing and resolving root cause of performance problems. Monitors performance of major elements on an on-going and historical basis, Resolves major problems and fluently applies escalation and notification procedures for incidents.&nbsp; - Conducts and directs quality assurance reviews and monitoring activities - Can describe specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approaches&nbsp; - Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities, on multiple development projects&nbsp; - Has been able to maintain a dialogue in difficult situations&nbsp; - Can identify customer satisfaction gaps through regular communication and participates in negotiations &nbsp;- Can fully engage with heads of relevant business area. Can add value to business by suggesting strategies&nbsp; - Experienced Line management of global teams.&nbsp; - Ability to work with senior business leaders and uses extensive network to influence decisions and to help others establish useful contacts at Executive level.&nbsp; - Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships and is confident in negotiating and influencing colleagues or stakeholders or clients.&nbsp; - Understand the importance of compliance and adherence to procedures.&nbsp; - Have prior experience of resolving Open Audit Observations.&nbsp; Specific Technical Expertise - &nbsp;- Solid knowledge of all the major components in a vendor's solutions - Knowledge of the ITIL framework, vocabulary and best practices - Competent in discussing the technology with vendor escalation support team &nbsp;- Expertise in multiple documentation tools, techniques and delivery mechanisms - Proven experience with complex script development or complex utility tool configurations&nbsp; - High level of organizational awareness and understanding of how operational stability can be maximized through leveraging technology - Analysis of complex technical problems across a large, multi-tiered estate, often under time pressure - Can describe existing technology infrastructure across all major functions/departments and has a comprehensive grasp of emerging technologies&nbsp; - Manages demanding clients and high profile systems - Can discuss key benefits and drawbacks of existing IT organizational structure and relationships&nbsp; - Can describe key aspects of strategic systems and technology development plans - Can discuss company's position vis-a-vis technology-related trends and outline organizational implications&nbsp; - Experienced with consulting on architecture patterns and technologies for multiple applications&nbsp; - Plays a leadership role in the adoption and furtherance of the technology strategy - Proven knowledge of all audit and control tools, techniques and practices.
