The Controls Room is a firmwide Reporting Utility that provides standardized control-related data and drives quicker, efficient and accurate reporting. It's an information warehouse with capabilities for reporting, visualizations and analytics. Its primary goal is to enhance control oversight and efficiency through the standardization and automation of operational risk reporting, provide access to firmwide aggregated information and produce business risk insight. Job Description:

The Control Management Group's (CM) mission is to solidify an effective Firmwide control framework within and across the lines of business by identifying and remediating control issues with a sense of urgency, regardless of the source. The CM team will work collaboratively with other control disciplines and will oversee existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. This process will enable the firm to engage the appropriate teams in a timely manner and provide the ability to quickly remediate critical control issues across all the impacted areas of the firm.

This role will report into the GSC Control Management, Controls Room India Lead

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Governance and management of key deliverables ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and SLAs

- Work with the Executive Solutions & Reporting lead to identify and deliver Data Visualization & Dashboard projects

- Develop scalable data preparation, maintenance, and reporting procedures that can be leveraged by business units and functional areas across the firm

- Implement data evaluation techniques aimed at measuring business risks and control issues

- Develop re-usable tools that can be leveraged by business units across the firm

- Perform data deep dives as needed using various techniques such as machine learning and text mining.

- Collaborate with business managers and developers to integrate the results with existing systems

- Comply with procedures and QA best practices to ensure the quality of data, models and outputs

- Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to practice up-to-date data evaluation strategies

- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to integrate results with existing systems and processes

- Will be responsible for managing a team of 7-8 Data Visualization & Automation resources

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

- Overall 12+ years of experience

- Master's or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field

- At least 6-7 years' experience in Dashboarding using Tableau, QlikSense or similar tools

- Solid database skills:

- At least 5 years' experience in ETL using Alteryx

- At least 8 years of people management experience

- At least 3 years of project management, risk and controls and hands-on programming using structured / unstructured data

- Ability to learn quickly, adjust to changes and think outside the box

- Experience with Excel, specifically with the creation of pivot tables, graphs and excel functions

- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail

- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

- Good verbal/written and inter-personal skills

- Positive attitude, self-motivated and confident

- Ability to learn quickly, adjust to changes and think outside the box

- Knowledge of Big Data Concepts / Hadoop is a plus

- Experience with operational risk in the banking industry is preferred
