Vice President - Data Engineering

Our Client, A Leading Bank is looking out for a Vice President - Data Engineering to be based at Mumbai.

Job Purpose:

- Project management of EDW/Tableau/PLP/Datalake/DNC, KHOJ/NPS Application

- End-to-End responsibility for smooth functioning of all projects Technical Solution, Implementation, change management, Postproduction Stabilization support of ongoing as well as new applications

- Ensuring all Governance, Audit and Compliance in place and check periodically

- Support the superiors in their deliverables like reporting, new projects in the above systems area.

- Budgeting and planning for all application and align accordingly to Bank vision.

Technical Expertise:

Applications- EDW, PLP, Tableau, Datalake, NPS, KHOJ/DNC

Competency - Data warehousing, Data Engineering, Structured and unstructured

Quality - Data quality, MDM, Governance

Program Management - for data migration and data engineering type of programs

Business Intelligence Reporting, Analytics, Risk Management - Data related infrastructure and availability

Job Responsibilities :

Project Solutioning :

- Solution Validate, Architecture assessment and defining scope following the IT policies and organization goal.

- Ensure all solutions as per IT standard and meet bank strategic vision

Project planning and management :

- Validate the projects plan prepared by the team and keep Business sponsors and the team in the sync of the same.

- Validate the resource assignment on the projects done by the team leaders.

- Successful production movements of the projects and hand-over to the production team & DPC.

- Ensure all Governance in place for starting project and throughout the project till go live.

Vendor management :

- Vendor identification, Onboarding Vendor, and regular meetings with vendor on projects progress and maintain the quality of the vendor delivery.

- Cost negotiation with vendor.

Cost Management :

- Estimating, Allocating, and Controlling Project costs.

Management Reporting :

- Regular reporting to higher management, Business, and executive sponsors on all ongoing projects.

- Project Audit and Compliance

- Ensure all audit and compliance and UAM review monitor in place for all applications

Educational Qualifications & Key Skills: MCA or Engineering graduate with Knowledge of RDBMS concepts, Operating System, SQL Science Graduate, or equivalent degree with specialization in Business Analysis/Information Technology or equivalent.

Experience:

- Minimum of 15 years' experience

- Knowledge of different O/S, RDBMS, Multi Dimension Data Base, Cloud Data Warehouse.

- Knowledge of Data Concepts and Functionality.

- Knowledge on the BI systems functionality.

- Overall setup knowledge.

- Awareness on servers and storage technology

- Awareness of Analytics, AI/ML in the context of Data quality and availability
