Role : CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER / HEAD INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY / VP INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Reporting : Work directly with CEO, matrix reporting to Technical Advisor. Location : Mumbai, India Role purpose : - This role will make executive / strategic and operational technology decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with their vision for its technological needs. - A strategic thinker, an effective communicator and an expert in technological development, acting as both, a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company. Important Technology experience and expectation :- - Cloud proficiency - AI/ML fluency, using BOTS, experience with cutting edge technology use cases in retail - Digitalization/ transformation experience - worked with packages like SFDC, CRM, ERP etc. - Information Security knowledge & experience is crucial - SMAC - Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud experience - Exposure to open source stacks and tools Brief role responsibilities : (indicative) - Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company. - Developing the company's strategy for using technological resources - Ensuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely - Evaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure - Ensuring that the technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs. - Creating vendor base and timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services. - Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity - Build and sustain relation with outsourced agencies for support and service (management of contracts, SLAs, IT Governance etc.). - Work closely with all departments viz. Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Operations, etc. to define and deliver new enhancements. - Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards. - Maintain a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of IT projects to market. - Managing technology budgets and time frames - Be well-networked with industry peers and associations. - Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs - Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations - Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics - Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape Candidate requirement : - Master's Degree in Computer Science preferable, Bachelor's Degree mandatory, other relevant qualification. - 16 to 22 years of experience of which at least 2 to 3 years heading the function - Exposure to advanced technological skill set - Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future - Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. - Experience of managing large, multi- location / pan India team of 15+ people - Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts - Sector preference - retail, hospitality, malls, fmcg
