This position will work as a Vice President leading the Regulatory Analytics team. Key stakeholders will be the global programs which these teams support and include those regional management teams within the local businesses. This job requires functional expertise and should not be focused only on people management. The structure will support a higher concentration of senior positions in acknowledgement of the team as a centre of excellence driving these activities across the Group. Functional expertise should be in both the disciplines of IFRS9 and Stress Testing as well as the supporting modelling and operational capabilities to run at a global scale.

Job Responsibility

- Establish and maintain team vision with strong leadership presence both in the GAC team as well as with stakeholders across the group

Credit risk experience is must

Risk modeling experience will be preferred

- Key face-off with programme leads in Group headquarters team and including senior audit, independent review and regulatory stakeholders

- Collaborate with other Group functions, Regional teams to ensure effective working relationships which deploy solutions to a prioritised set of challenges

- Leadership (not just management) of team of 100+ risk management professionals, including senior (VP) level staff directing the sub-functional teams, ensuring high level of employee engagement and motivation

- Lead the day-to-day activities involved in the analytic processes in these areas to ensure high quality and timely results, for key stakeholders both within and external to the Risk function. A particularly critical Run the Bank activity is leading the delivery of the PRA Concurrent Stress Test and the monthly IFRS9 results

- Build a culture of continuous improvement across the department with the active support and buy-in of key stakeholders in supporting the delivery of Group Strategy or change programmes

- Assign tasks and roles effectively across the department to ensure optimal focus and maximum productive utilisation of resources

- Ensure strong sense of urgency across the team in delivering to agreed timelines and with high quality standards

Skills/Experience Required:

Strong leadership skills and relevant experience required

15+ years experience required, preferably in banking and consumer lending

At least a Bachelor's degree in mathematics/ statistics/ economics/Engineering or equivalent; MBA is a plus

Prior experience in model development in retail lending is preferred

Relevant experience in analytics specifically in the fields like Credit Risk Modeling & Basel, Loss Forecasting / Reserving, Risk Strategy, Marketing analytics etc.

Prior exposure in stress testing and / or impairment reserves.

Strong understanding of consumer lending products like Credit Cards, Mortgages, Personal Loans, Overdraft, Auto Loans and Line of credit

Excellent communication skills with technical (the team) and non-technical (senior management in region) counterparts; being able to "translate" between the two worlds is essential

Strong analytical skills with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly

Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.
