Vice President - Credit Policy Lead

Position Responsibilities

1) Development of new programs/processes in line with risk policies

2) Rationalizing and simplifying processes and policies, in line with business requirements

3) Key Contact for sales, marketing and operations team

4) Responsible for ensuring accurate implementation of credit policies and processes in the system through periodic audits and system inbuilt validation & checks.

5) Responsible for interacting with partners to set up sourcing programs

6) Creating Rules & SOP for application Fraud prevention.

7) Credit Administration of credit processes, create audit strategy & supervises the outcomes by evaluating audit samples.

8) Certification & Training of the underwriting & fraud staff on credit policy & processes

9) Create exception reports and conduct focused audits for operations & fraud management.

10) Responsible for rectifying the process gaps identified during audits.

Measures of Success (Define the Outcomes expected of the role)

- Effective credit policies and processes, in line with business requirement and risk appetite

- Business growth while maintaining portfolio quality (30+ 6 MOB%=<5%, application fraud etc.)

- Effective audit strategy, which is able to highlight key weaknesses in our credit policies and processes pertaining to Operations to Application fraud management

- Stakeholder Feedback from Sales/Banca head

Skills Sets Required

1) 10-14 years of work experience in risk or marketing roles.

2) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of other quantitative tools like SAS, SPSS Modeler etc. would be beneficial.

3) Good working knowledge of under-writing and operational processes.

4) Must have the ability to lead a team effectively and be flexible to work on multiple projects

5) Strong analytical and problem solving skills

6) Relationship management with external partners.
