Our client is looking for a person to join their credit analysis team for the growing SME business as VP Credit analyst.

Job Description

Reporting to the SVP, you will be responsible for:

- Analyzing financial statements and writing credit appraisals for customers

- Processing incoming credit requests, complete necessary due diligence and ensure timely completion of credit underwriting/CA including any interim transaction request

- Conducting an objective and thorough credit analysis of the financial condition and credit-worthiness of existing and new to bank borrowers using analysis of historical and projected financial statements, biographical data, market information, credit reports and other data and identify key transactional risks and mitigants

- Structuring credit proposals aligned with risk standards and with understanding the client's strategic and financial objectives/needs

- Engaging directly with customers on a periodic basis to monitor customers business health and give assessments and early warnings

- Maintaining in depth knowledge of the bank's credit and policies and practices and applicable local and US regulations to assist the Business in achieving compliance and satisfactory internal and external audit results

- Continue to generate ideas for improving lending process efficiency

- Build and maintain a sound understanding of the bank's products, policies and processes(within Commercial Banking and the broader organization)

Profile

You will be a CA/MBA with 5-7 years of experience in credit analysis or risk in wholesale banking. Ability to propose appropriate credit structure, excellent analytical skills and spreadsheet skills coupled with strong work ethic are qualities that will differentiate the successful candidate.
