Job Description

Reporting to the National Head for commercial underwriting, you will be handling a team and be responsible for the following:

- To underwrite and develop profitable Liability Insurance business on PAN India basis

- To represent the Company in meetings with clients, brokers, and other intermediaries

- To develop Products and assist in product filing with the regulator

- To develop / review Underwriting Guidelines/ Manuals.

- To work on transactions / quotations on all India basis in order to write profitable business.

- To work on business requirements with IT, operations and claims team.

- Coaching & Development of less experienced underwriters, operation staff and distribution teams on product, processes and guidelines.

- Portfolio Review and Management

Profile

- You will be a qualified underwriting professional with 7-10 years of experience in casualty and financial lines, with a CA/Legal/Finance degree.

- You should be having strong specialist Casualty & Financial Lines Liability product knowledge including Cyber Insurance. You should have direct underwriting experience, handling large and complex accounts.

- Candidates with knowledge of Domestic & International practices in liability insurance, and familiarity with laws and statutes around General Liability will be preferred.

- Good analytical skills with ability to assess and compare policy forms, coupled with knowledge in IT system development are the qualities that will differentiate the successful candidate.
