About Markets Client Strategy : Markets Client Strategy is a dedicated team within Distribution, the sales organisation within Markets. Each product cluster has its own Client Strategy effort but they each partner closely to deliver a robust and coordinated holistic client strategy across asset classes, ensuring that we make the best use of our resources to deliver value for clients and maximise returns.

Overall purpose of role:

- The candidate is expected to work in a high intensity, results oriented team environment as part of the Markets Client Strategy team in Mumbai, which is virtual extension of Global Markets Client Strategy team. The candidate is responsible for working on Markets wide initiatives like Cross Sell initiative, Power of One initiative and Gameplan initiative etc.. Candidates is also expected to produce Business Strategy presentations, Business Performance reviews, Client Briefs, Pitch books and ad-hoc customized analysis. The candidate is expected to interact closely with counterparts in other regions and products to understand their requirements and deliver innovative and accurate result in minimum duration.

- The role requires sound understanding of Markets Business (Equities, Credit and Macro), Strategy and Control, good eye for detail and an ability to liaise with the Senior Business Managers, Client Strategy teams, Sales & Trading desks and Technology teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of critical business strategy inputs.

Key Accountabilities:

- Produce 'Market Performance' MI for Senior Management

- Work on key Strategic Initiatives for Markets business

- Analyze Client Tier and Client Hierarchy (DPGS) across Market business

- Submission of data to 3rd Party vendor like Coalition and McKinzey

- Carry out 'Regulatory checks' and 'Operational Controls' for Business Management team

- Create Client Briefs, Pitch books, Account Plans/Game Plans for Key clients for Market business

- Provide Competitor Analysis landscapes (Coalition) for Senior Management meetings

- Develop dashboards and MIS reports analyzing volume, Revenue, Risk and Sectors etc...

- Automate current reports and develop new reports in Analytical tools like Qlikview, Tableau, Business Objects, Flightdeck etc...

- Provide desk with ad-hoc analysis on desk coverage, sales interactions, tiered clients, etc..

- Identify and implement controls to enhance participation in the Markets client strategy and technology platforms

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

- The candidate would have to interact with counterparts in New York, London and APAC. The candidate needs to closely work with Business Managers and Sales Heads to understand their requirements and deliver as per their expectation with minimum iterations. The candidate is expected to come up with innovative ideas and business solutions, to deliver accurate final output in an optimal way.

Decision-making and Problem Solving:

- The candidate will have to be proactive in identifying issues and getting them resolved by liasing with various stakeholders

- The candidate needs to work on several time sensitive activities and hence is required to be meticulous and efficient

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Markets Business and their risk factors

- Experience of producing Business MIS

- Good Powerpoint and excel knowledge including VBA.

- Good knowledge of BI tools like Qlikview, Business Objects, Flightdeck etc..

- Good knowledge of Technology and Project Management

- Eye for details

- Excellent communication skills (oral/written)

- Strong Analytical Skills

- Aptitude for self-learning - Should be able to demonstrate a self-starting attitude

- Proactive in nature. Should be able to take decisions and support those.

- Team player

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- Programming skills/ exposure to Qlikview are an added benefit
