We have an opening with American multinational investment bank and financial services holding for VP -Capital reporting role.

The position is with the - UK Regulatory Reporting- function based in Mumbai. The group is comprised of specialised individuals with knowledge and expertise in understanding, managing and delivering financial information to regulators. The group is also dedicated to adding value and improving efficiency, quality and controls. The regulatory finance department is a high profile function, providing financial information to the Prudential Regulation Authority ( PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Bank of England and the Office of National Statistics. The reporting team within Regulatory Finance is split into two areas: the Capital Reporting group and the Financial Reporting group.

Role :

The candidate will lead the UK Capital Reporting team in India covering the preparation and review of Regulatory Returns to the PRA The candidate will be managing a team of 12 to 15 people:

Core responsibilities of the Capital Reporting:

- Preparation of periodical reg. returns for systemically important Legal Entities in UK. The activities include Daily monitoring and preparation of capital adequacy and large exposures reports, etc.

- Interpretation of the Regulatory rules which forms the basis of PRA reporting and providing regulatory guidance to the business.

- Partnership and supporting other Finance areas with other reporting requirements (e.g. recovery and resolution, ICAAP)

Responsibilities:

- Review and sign off on Capital Returns to be submitted to the PRA

- Review and sign off on Capital Adequacy Reporting

- Strong hold on the end to end book of work of the team and end to end life cycle of Capital Reporting

- Maintain a good working relationship with the onshore partners to ensure a one team culture

- Leading Projects that impact Capital returns and able to articulate and highlight the full impact of the projects on the returns.

- Able to add value to the process in terms of building enhanced controls, identify areas of process automation.

- Provide career pathing support to the team and able to troubleshoot add provide guidance to the team.

- Lead and Partner across teams on locally driven initiatives.

Qualifications :

1. Chartered Accountant/ MBA with 10+ years of experience preferably in Regulatory Reporting / Capital

2. Good academics and strong knowledge of Capital Concepts

3. Strong control mind-set. Analytical skills.

4. Ability to multi-task under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality.

5. Has prior experience of managing a team delivering Capital Reports.

6. Good Communication and organizational skills including partnering skills and proactiveness.

7. Enthusiastic, with a positive can do attitude

8. Strong PC skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and Outlook.

9. Investment banking product knowledge including derivatives, equities and debt securities.
