Vice President - Business Initiatives Manager - BFS

Opening with an American multinational financial services company for - Business Initiatives Mgr 2 (VP role)

About the Role

This position is responsible for executing various business initiatives which would involve collaborating and managing essential activities across various functional groups. Incumbent is expected to work in a highly matrixed organization and partner with leaders across the enterprise to deliver on any identified opportunities. The position reports to the Head of CIB Front Office and COO Support teams at WFIP. The incumbent would drive these priorities across multiple businesses including Investment Banking Origination support, Equity Research, COO/business support activities, and Markets across asset classes like FX, Rates, Commodities, Credit etc.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for leadership of cross functional projects / services and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity and risk.

- Examples might include, but are not limited to: finance / operational / executive management review coordination, major change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership / diversity / recognition / or general program oversight.

- Drive the implementation of new growth businesses and deliver the setting up on new capabilities

- Provide leadership in the management of relationships and integration / implementation of programs / services / initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary

- Work with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with WF strategy / policies and business line objectives.

- Develops metrics and tracks / evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives, and operational risk and governance controls tracking

- Develop collaterals for various business meetings which would involve providing summary view of overall performance of function segregated by business units

- Expected to engage with partners to conceptualize, agree and drive initiatives which add value to the business like driving automation and idea generation, implementing cross-business best practices etc

- Provide both technical and consulting perspective to business leaders at an appropriate level of information encapsulation.

- Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation

- Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
