We are hiring VP - Accounts Payable for our client.

Location: Anywhere in India (Remote)

Management / Leadership

- Manages timely and accurate processing and monitoring of supplier invoicing, payment requests and payments, while delivering high-quality service to internal Synchrony employees and external suppliers

- Works closely with Procurement, Suppliers and other Source-to-Pay areas to support needs

- Coordinates with internal and external teams to provide oversight for, and to mitigate and prevent aged invoices and debit balances

- Manages special payment processes including withholding tax payments, recurring lease payments and global wire payment requests

- Manages global tax compliance (U.S. withholding, India TDS, Philippines withholding, etc.)

- Responsible for the overall management and strategy of discount and rebate processes

- Partners with Finance, Suppliers and Business Users to enhance First Time Match rate

- Partners with 3rd Party supplier to manage and monitor asset recovery efforts

- Manages Cash Flow Forecasting and AP Cash Management account reconciliation

- Coordinates with Procurement to resolve invoice, tax and payment discrepancies

- Partners with Travel & Expense team to enhance supplier payment options while increasing savings

Strategic Leadership

- Responsible for driving the strategic direction of the future state of invoicing and payments

- Provides strategic direction for AP-impacted cross-functional projects

- Provides strategic direction to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments to capture discounts

- Provides strategic direction to increase e-Invoice rate through increased Supplier Enablement

- Manages the payment risk of suppliers providing services within Source-to-Pay organization

- Management and oversight responsibilities for strategic initiatives impacting AP

Controls / Compliance

- Develop, implement and enforce AP policies and procedures consistent with compliance and controls

- Maintains records and files in accordance to established Retention (RIM) requirements

- Ensures compliance controls and maintains documentation as assigned

- Manages and monitors control processes including fraud detection, asset recovery, etc., to mitigate potential AP risks

- Ensures that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to by teams
