Job Description:

The Vice-Chancellor will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the successful establishment and growth of the University. Reporting directly to the Chairman, the Vice Chancellor will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders to advance the university's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement a strategic plan aligned with the university's mission, vision, and values.

- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in academic programs, research initiatives, and student services.

- Establish partnerships with industry, government, and community organizations to enhance the university's impact and reputation.

Academic Excellence:

- Recruit, retain, and support a diverse faculty committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

-Oversee the development and assessment of academic programs to ensure relevance, rigor, and quality.

- Foster a culture of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty, students, and staff.

Student Success:

- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters student engagement, retention, and success.

- Implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, enrollment, and graduation rates.

- Champion initiatives to enhance the student experience, including co-curricular activities, experiential learning opportunities, and student support services.

Financial Sustainability:

- Develop and manage the university's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.

- Identify and pursue sources of revenue, including grants, contracts, philanthropy, and partnerships.

- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.

Institutional Governance and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.

- Collaborate with governing bodies, advisory boards, and committees to support effective governance and decision-making.

- Foster transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all university activities.

Qualifications:

- A terminal degree (e.g., PhD, EdD) from an accredited institution, preferably in a relevant field.

- Significant leadership experience in higher education, including academic administration, strategic planning, and financial management.

- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of university operations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of making data-informed decisions.

- Visionary leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and empower others to achieve shared goals.

- Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in higher education, including online learning, technology integration, and student-centered pedagogy.
