Viacom18 - Technical Lead - Quality Assurance

Role and Responsibilities:

- Work on designing maintaining a test framework which is scalable and efficient across web, TV and mobile applications

- Understand the latest technologies, make a creative decision of test framework suitable for the need.

- Analyze requirements to identify the automatable, non-testable etc.

- Review test designs to ensure quality and complete coverage of the requirements.

- Peer review for all codes and solution being designed and implemented

- Should be able to work with Team and as an Individual Contributor as well

- Tracking and maintaining excellent quality in defect identification and verification

- Plan and Drive all automation test activities and update the relevant stakeholders

- Reporting the test automation status and the execution status periodically

- Provide result, presentations and reports to leadership as required to manage the project

- Escalate all risks, dependencies, road blocks etc in a timely and efficient manner

- Work on Appium, selenium, rest assured for current framework and parallelly adding solution to the existing system.

Initiate and implement process simplification without compromising quality of the deliverables.

- Work closely with development team and other supporting teams for building the best product

- Demonstrate drive for results, creative problem solving, effective teamwork and communication.

Qualification required:

- Bachelor or master's degree Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline

- Good problem-solving ability and techniques with ability to handle fluctuating workloads

- Self-motivated and be able to self-prioritize with clarity in explaining objectives

- Passion for Testing with focus on product quality, user experience and customer service

- Efficient team player who leverages the latest technology and tools to improve productivity

- Capability to provide or identify a solution when the team is blocked with a problem.

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Sound knowledge of test methodologies related to different phases of software test life cycle

- Expertise in test automation tools and scripting languages Java, python, selenium, Appium, Testing, ruby etc. and Test Management tools

- Experienced in automation test development, execution and various test frameworks

- Expertise in web and mobile application automation (preferably video streaming platforms)

- Experience in API testing and Automation using Rest assured

- Experience in integrating CI/CD solution using Jenkins

- Good understanding of Best Practices, testing principles and testing skills manual and automation
