Product Designer

We are looking for a passionate designer to join our fast-growing team at Voot. As an early team member, you will have a key contribution defining the usability, interaction and aesthetics of our platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone who has been in the space for 5-7 years and wishes to build a usable product.

As a Product Design Expert,

- You have 5-7 years of hands-on design experience for mobile and web apps.

- You have a deep understanding of UX/UI design principles for mobile and web apps, confining to Android and iOS design guidelines.

- You are sensitive to colours, typography, grids and design systems.

- You can work on multiple projects and compelling priorities with various stakeholders.

- You have experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX/UI Designers as part of a product design team.

- You have a strong hybrid portfolio of UX/ UI showcasing B2C/ consumer mobile apps.

- You are obsessed to solve problems through design, so your work is nothing but stunning.

As a part of the Voot Experience Design Team, you will

- Work collaboratively within and outside the design team to ensure a seamless and integrated brand and product experience.

- Gain deep insights into user journeys and business needs and designs solutions based on inputs through discussions, surveys, stakeholders’ feedbacks and other findings.

- Contribute to the Voot experience vision and own the end-to-end design process.

- Visualise and present ideas through sketches or wireframes as the need may be.

- Develop, refine and strengthen the UI and UX specifications and guidelines for consumption by product and engineering teams.

- Design micro-interactions and animations using Figma or similar tools.

Good if you:

- Have an inclination for design systems or have experience building one.

- Have experience designing for smart tv or wearable devices.

- Can empathise with users.

- Have some knowledge of front-end development.

Things you should know:

- We are not slaves of tools or technology. We are quick to adapt to any tool that allows us to execute in the best possible manner. We prototype when required, but pen and paper are equally loved.

- We understand minimalism and appreciate white space, but sometimes it’s vital to communicate in that many words. We always find the right balance.

- Visual design - perfection. But we don’t let perfection be the trap. There is no end to good design so sometimes things are just good enough. But good enough ≠ broken.

- For this early team member, we do not want to define boundaries so a mix of UX and UI is desired, someone who will enjoy being a part of end-to-end design process.
