Viacom18 - Assistant Manager - Growth & Innovation - Digital Ventures

This role is focused on helping scale the VOOT suite of apps in India and abroad. With data emerging as the key currency in the digital media ecosystem, this role shall help in drawing impactful insights across diverse data sources.

Key responsibilities

- Answer data requests for advertiser queries by performing detailed analyses

- Building presentations and other collaterals on a regular basis for key advertiser pitches

- Develop hypotheses and design experiments to improve performance in coordination with a product, marketing, and other teams

- Enable advertiser success through data-driven optimization of campaigns as well as helping execute innovative ad products

- Support sales planning and forecasting for the OTT business

- Cascading overall sales targets into account plans and execution milestones

- Track digital video industry benchmarks on competitive offerings

- Develop insights for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue planning/sales reviews for the business

- Monitor and help improve key health metrics across product lines and functions

- Research advertiser and category performances and monitor key sector trends

Key Relationships:

- Work closely with Ad Sales, Marketing, Content and Product teams to solve critical problems and improve performance

- Work with other members of the Growth & Innovation team to drive success for large & complex projects Background/Knowhow

- MBA with BE/ B Tech (Computer Science/ Information Technology) or BA/MA in Eco/ Stats / Maths from top colleges

- Experience of 1-3 years in consulting/research firms (serving B2C industries) or data analysis teams in internet start-ups

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience of Database querying (SQL) and Programming languages (Java, C#, etc.) is mandatory

- Some exposure to analytical tools (R, Python, etc.) preferred

- Knowledge/experience of experimentation and A/B testing preferred

- Passionate about data and insights, extremely curious, with great attention to detail

- Good communication skills

- Strong ownership of work - self-driven and entrepreneurial

- Interest/ passion for media/ performing arts preferred
