VFS Global - Senior Project Manager

Job Description :

- We are looking for an is a Senior Project Manager, responsible for managing the flow of features and capabilities through the development and delivery process for multiple agile teams. Should understand and gel with the needs of a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities :

- Establish, maintain, and communicate to stakeholders the overall status and schedules for features and capabilities under development and release.

- Establish, maintain, and communicate overall status and schedules for cross-organizational activities such as releases, client communications, user acceptance testing, user experience design, etc.

- Work with product managers/business teams and team leads to understand projects risks, escalate, and track to completion.

- Support teams in the identification and management of risk, dependencies and mitigation strategies.

- Assist with the development and ongoing use of product development / management related metrics to help inform our decisions and facilitate continuous improvement.

- Drive iteration and release planning activities through the teams to help improve feature delivery cycle time and organization predictability.

- Work within the team's existing agile management practices to understand status (standups, demos, planning sessions, etc.)

- Encourage adoption of best practices around product development project management centered around lean and agile principles.

- Architect and own up framework definition and compliance

- Include or involve the right set of SMEs as per requirement to support business requirements/project requirements.

Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Business, Project Management, MIS, Computer Science or related area

- Relevant Agile experience

- 5+ years of experience interfacing with external clients in a project management role (IT/Software)

- External client experience in running and managing projects and financial profitability

- Experience in implementing projects from begin to end for small to mid size companies

- PMP Certification is also desirable

- Demonstrated ability to manage the financial requirements and profitability of the project engagement from inception to completion

- Must have effective ccommunication skills

- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycles and process improvement methodologies

- Excellent time management, organizational and negotiating skills

- Strong aptitude for problem solving and technology
