Purpose of the role :

- To assist in the conceptualization, development and execution of the global electronic integrated security program management.

- Responsible for overseeing that all client requirements pertaining to electronic security compliance's are established and running as required by the stakeholder requirements.

- Responsible for executing the related Technical Support strategy and procedures that will improve the Client mission experience and build emotional loyalty allowing greater impact to overall sales and revenue.

Areas of Responsibility and brief description :

1. Assist in formulating and implementing a company-wide electronic security infrastructure program for corporate security, encompassing qualitative requirements, guidelines and management processes

2. Developing and achieving the technical support objectives and goals for security systems to support the organizational vision through the GSOC team.

3. Managing and directing a team of Technical Support Leaders within GSOC (Mumbai, Dubai and other locations) while leading the development of the vision and strategy for the support team.

4. Ensure that the delivery of the technical security program is supported through targeted technical excellence and contribute to the delivery of an effective, efficient and responsive operations function.

5. Prepare and present the annual technical security plan to Head - Corporate Security, and execute it as per approved plan, with periodic reporting on progress and deviations from plan, if any.

6. Ensure timely and accurate identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of current & residual security system across regions during remote checks / technical assessment audits on ground and offer corrective /mitigation measures for improved functionality while monitoring effectiveness of risk treatment

7. Executing additional projects such as synergy initiatives with group subsidiaries (Project Smart, etc.), succession planning, hiring and training practices, best coaching practices & cross-functional corporate security initiatives

8. Ensure audit compliance with client security requirements, corporate security and organizational policies and procedures applicable to the role.

9. Ensure that all security system related Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and contractual obligations complied to, with deviations reported through the Incident Reporting and Management Framework.

10. Act as the single point of contact for coordinating all security system management initiatives and implementing all critical security compliances for specific client missions at a global level.

11. Ensure development of the integrated security management program by enabling Corporate Security team members by means of training and awareness materials, templates and consultation, as and when required.

12. Responsible for formulating security equipment strategy in coordination with Regional Security Group Heads which is aligned to VFS Business requirements

13. Identify latest Security Equipment as per contemporary technology, conduct global vendor identification & periodic evaluation coupled with subsequent rate negotiations for implementation, proof of concept before actual implementation

14. Send regular MIS reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), deviations (if any), corrective measures taken and estimate time of closure. Assist in creation of cost-benefit analysis or business case required for management review.

15. Formulate and calibrate the integrated security management strategy on at least a half yearly basis, in alignment with changing business needs, client security requirements and threat environment.

16. Ensure that integrated security management reports and deliverables are completed as per deadlines, are actionable and meet quality parameters for reporting

17. Recommend innovative products and automated systems (not necessarily restricted only to security) to enhance business processes and ease the existing workflows of the organization

18. Assist in development of the integrated security management program by introducing new product technologies, automating and digitizing tools/templates, checklists, policies/procedures or guidelines, dashboards and other MIS reporting.

19. Collaborate with operations, other enabling units, service providers/vendors towards the fulfillment of goals of the integrated security management program. Devise ways to improve return on security investment, increase efficiency, effectiveness and cost-savings through innovation.

Budgetary and Revenue Responsibilities/ Indicative KRAs :

1. Preparing, executing and controlling the annual Technical Security and GSOC security budgets.

2. Ensure completion of all assigned duties and responsibilities within the approved annual budget and assisting in developing an annual business plan to incorporate best industry practices to meet market and company needs.

3. Security infrastructure risk identification, assessment, mitigation and ongoing risk management

4. Ensure technical and commercial negotiations with vendors to avail most appropriate systems at the best possible costs for the organization.

5. Ensure timely technical support to all regions and security equipment compliance globally as per guidelines laid down by missions.

6. Quality, effectiveness and efficiency of deliverables.

Education : Minimum: Bachelor's degree/diploma in electronics / computer technology or similar field

Additional Education : Post graduate degree or global equivalent degree / Certification Courses related to project management like PMP, CSPM and/or any security certification like PSP, CPP etc.

Experience : 18-25 years of relevant experience of which 15+ years of integrated security project management is required, managing a similar profile in a regional or global role.

Knowledge and Key Skills :

- Demonstrated experience in a Global Security Operations environment

- Extensive experience in a leadership or management role and process improvement

- Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple regional / global security project implementations / initiatives internally and with external stakeholders.

- Ability to provide clear directions, technical guidance, set work priorities and mentor the team

- Ability to identify root causes of business process errors and recommend corrective / innovative / automated solutions for mitigation/process enhancement

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of management systems and processes
