Areas of Responsibility & brief description Responsibility Level : 1. Acts as the Corporate Security liaison for the Respective Region. Overall responsibility of security, Fraud, and Vigilance for the region 2. Conduct operational risk assessment of proposed Visa Application Centre and passport/VAF movement from VAC to Post for the given region 3. Offer risk rating of country, region & location and recommend countermeasures to ensure security of people, assets and processes in regular consultations with Operations teams 4. Liaise with local Post and Govt. authorities with respect to security concerns and issues within the region 5. Develop and administer the Security budget of the Region. Plan and manage monthly, quarterly & annual budgets for the security equipment & measures within the given region 6. Ensure expenditure is as per the risk profiling of the given region & optimal utilisation of resources thus ensuring cost effectiveness 7. Integrate security procedures to ensure qualitative, cost effective & value added security services 8. Ensure all critical service levels are met & contractual obligations complied to, with deviations reported through incident report framework 9. Send MIS reports on performance indicators. . Ensure timely reporting and handling of security issues. 10. Conduct detailed investigation of security breaches & submit report for the same to Business Unit Head, Security Head & HR and Legal 11. Collaborate in implementing security policies and data protection laws in business 12. Assist Operations and HR in corporate governance for the region. 13. Coordinate with the Projects and Operations Team for any new rollout to provide inputs required with respect to Security installations, Security budgets and related requirements. 14. Ensure compliance with VFS Global defined information security policies and procedures applicable to the role 15. Responsible for the deployment and performance of security personnel. Ensure smooth functioning of security operations such as ID administration, log review and monitoring 16. Ensure maintenance of customer (Missions) satisfaction levels on security issues. Ensure that all Security prevention techniques used within the region conform to mission contractual requirements, company policies, procedures, and legal guidelines 17. Conduct regular safety drills & ensure communication of necessary safety measures to all employees 18. Conduct awareness training among all employees, contractors and vendors within the given region 19. Coordinate and Conduct Internal Risk Assessment Audit for existing VACs across the Region and forward the reports to concerned operations team and authorities. 20. Conduct Annual Risk Assessment Audits in other regions as per the Annual Audit schedule. 21. Coordinate and assist with the implementation of VAC security operations and activities to ensure protection of Employees, Applicants, physical assets and information assets, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment 22. Collaborate in implementing security policies and data protection laws in business with the Operations Team and Partners. 23. Keep a track of the Regional political security scenario and possible threats to Business, assets, employees, etc. and update the Regional Operations team accordingly in a timely manner. 24. Coordinate with the Regional Head and Operations Head to formulate the Business Continuity Plan and Crisis Management Plan for the complete business units in the Region. 25. Shall adhere to environment health and safety policy/objectives and guidelines of the organization Education : Minimum : Graduate or global equivalent degree Certification Courses related to Security measures and norms Additional : Post Graduate or global equivalent degree Experience : 7 - 10 years- experience in Armed Forces/ Corporate Security Division Knowledge & Key skills : - Demonstrated experience in multi-site Security Environment - Demonstrated ability to successfully conduct investigations and interviews conclusions - Must possess strong interpersonal communication (verbal & written) skills and ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups and accurately document investigative and other job-related activities - Working knowledge of computer based databases and word processing programs and concepts - Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly demanding work environment with minimal supervision of day-to-day activities - Perform other related tasks/special assignments as directed
