Areas of Responsibility & brief description

Responsibility -

- Identify data sources and automate collection processes

- Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data

- Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

- Data warehousing and data modelling for all performance metrics across organization

- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithm

- Combine models through ensemble modelling

- Create use cases with respect to domain for solving a business problem

- Present information using data visualization tools like Power BI

- Propose solutions and strategies to improve business performance

- Enhance skill & knowledge of self & team members through training & acquire the necessary certifications

- Judicious use of natural resources

- Shall adhere to environment health and safety policy/objectives and guidelines of the organization.

Education:

Master's in computer science, Engineering or relevant field; Master's degree in Data Science

Experience: 15-20 years of experience in Data analytics.

Knowledge & Key Skills:

- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst

- Experience in data mining

- Understanding of machine-learning and operations research

- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset

- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)

- Analytical mind and business acumen

- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)

- Problem-solving aptitude

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
