Basic Role Information : Position/Title : Merchandiser, India Coalition & Brand : Shared (JSW - India) Wrangler Function : Product Geographic Scope : India Reporting Manager (Designation) : Product Head Role & Responsibilities : Key functions include : - Prepare & share Line plan with Design after thorough analysis of current Market trends in terms of MRP / styling, Previous seasons style performances & specific buyer requirements. - Ensure Line plan is followed during Sketch reviews & Docket handover - Ensure correct samples are developed & presented in Roadshow through monitoring sampling (begins with docket handover to Pre-SMS to final SMS samples) - Range finalization - Shortlist options in concurrence with Design team which fits into the Line plan as well as meets Market requirements. - Costing : Negotiate cost of the shortlisted line with the development team & assign competitive MRP's to ensure given Multiple / margin targets are met. - Road show preparations - order forms, cataloguing along with Marketing team, QART data uploads, etc. - Engage in discussions with consumers during Roadshow so that the themes are explained in detail for better order books & also understand consumer needs - Order consolidation, OTB, MOQ & Delivery negotiations. - SAP uploads - Code creation, PIR & PR uploads, material masters & BOM related activity - Information to production / sourcing teams - via sample handovers & system related information - Review & approvals of all pre-production samples - Analyse code level sell thru's & share inputs with design teams for improvement. Competencies : - Organized, structured and time conscious approach - Must have effective communication, negotiation & follow-up skills. - Must have strong knowledge of Womenswear & Accessories - Must have an eye for details/ newness w.r.t the shirts category - Must have good interpersonal skills - since they will be the one-point contact for Sales, Design & Sourcing teams for all product related queries. - Strong analytical, Excel & Power-point skills.
