Demand Planner

As a Demand Planner in our dynamic FMCG/Automobile sector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantities. This position requires an individual with a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of demand forecasting methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Forecasting:

- Generate accurate and timely demand forecasts using historical sales data, statistical forecasting methods, and market trend analysis.

- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to incorporate promotional activities, new product launches, and discontinuations into the demand plan.

2. Inventory Management:

- Work closely with the supply chain team to align demand forecasts with inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability across all channels.

- Identify and address potential inventory imbalances, including excess stock and stock-outs.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Serve as a key liaison between sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure demand planning objectives align with broader company goals.

- Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings, presenting demand forecasts and contributing to decision-making processes.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze sales trends, forecast accuracy, and performance metrics to continually refine forecasting models.

- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide visibility into the demand planning process to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Educational degree in B.Tech, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in the FMCG or automobile industry.

- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting methodologies.

- Experience advanced planning systems or similar tools.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools.
