Job Description
- New vendor development, new product development
- New vendor identification for all commodities like Precision component machining, Sheetmetal fabrication, Stamping, Casting and assembly
- Supplier qualification & onboarding the suppliers.
- Zero based costing of all commodities as per drawing & as per market price
- Negotiation & price finalization, On time Release of Purchase orders, Follow up for delivery
- Tracking & have the update of market prices of both materials as well as sub contract machining.
- Deep understanding of all machining processes, resolving quality issues, other technical issues.
- Project management, Review & reporting of pending RFQ, PO, Delivery
- Vendor management: Managing multiple manufacturing vendors in the area of Precision component manufacturing, fabrication, Sheetmetal Working, Casting and assembly.
- Understand customer - manufacturing requirements.
- Work with internal design teams on engineering requirements (Engineering Models, Drawings, Component Nesting etc), Close co-ordinate with internal quality, customer engineering, supplier, internal sales & Technology
- Understand customer needs effectively and work with Project Management teams to adhere to timelines and quality
Skil
- Qualification: BE/ Diploma- Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- 5 & 10 years of Experience in vendor development/sourcing/purchase/procurement
- From Auto/Ancillary/industrial manufacturing only.
- Good written and oral communication,
- Ability to work with teams across multiple locations
- Travel: 30 % of the Time
- Experience in machining and component manufacturing industry
- Available to join immediately.
- Candidates from Aerospace & fastener manufacturing will be much preferred.
