VegNonVeg - Finance Controller

Job Description:

We are looking for a Finance Controller. The candidate should be self-directed and experienced Controller to oversee all financial and accounting activities associated with our departments in the organization. He/She is expected to be cross-functionally collaborative and partnering with the business to solve problems.

Specific responsibilities will include:

- Develop a business view to the controllership function within the firm.

- Manage, deliver, and govern business controller related reporting and analytics requirements.

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across the finance function.

- Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.

- Work closely with the operations team to define standards and accounting treatments to help balance control and performance reporting requirements

- Collaborate closely with the accounting teams in helping drive greater control of entries that impact business performance outcomes.

- Ensure compliance with IFRS, India GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.

- Support the Audit programs i.e. Statutory and Internal Audit on monthly basis

- Ensuring reconciliation and review of material received and PO quantity and resolve issues working with Vendors, Warehouse or stores.

- Ensuring sales and payment reconciliations on a monthly basis.

- Costing per SKU management and reporting any divergence on a monthly basis.

- Budget Controlling, Actuals versus projected

- Finalizing legal contracts with all Vendors along with the legal team.

- Impact Analysis of Logistics and taking necessary actions to ensure cost optimization

- Regular visits to Stores and WHs and ensuring zero Non-compliance on legal & commercial compliances and safety

- Liquidation of slow and Non-moving stock by regular bidding and other effective measures

- Performance review of all Stores and Ecom businesses on a quarterly basis.

- Monthly structured MIS and reporting to Co- Founders for corrective actions.

Requirements:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10+ years of work exp.

- Currently working as the FC (pref).

- Strong experience in controllership and setting up processes. Should have strong experience in implementation of strategic changes as well as knowledge of core accounting guidelines, IFRS etc.

- Prior experience of working and scaling up a start-up.

- Good eye for detail and with a strong focus on controls and compliance to policies and procedures.

- Demonstrated experience of influencing decisions at senior leadership level. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work with cross cultural teams.
