Responsibilities - What to expect from the role?

- The candidate is expected to help formulate strategy with the SEO head and drive execution across a designated BU (Business Unit)

- Manage a team of 15+ people comprising of team lead, content writers, etc. sometimes working with agencies

- Finding areas to grow traffic via competition research and analysis, content gaps, etc.

- Achieving high keyword ranks on SERP and maintaining those ranks

- Ensuring creation of high quality engaging content for users

- Building work and output trackers/reports; taking data from several sources and assimilating them to derive actionable insights

- Keeping up to date with the latest industry developments, news, tools, etc.

- Keeping an eye out on trending relevant topics for quick content creation

- Working under pressure and changing environment while still adhering to timelines

Experience:

- Proven record of developing and executing innovative SEO campaigns

- Strong knowledge of popular SEO Tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.)

- Analytical mind-set and proficiency in MS Excel (Basic formulas, vlookup, hlookup, xlookup, etc.)

- On-page SEO such as Keyword research, meta tags, SEO site architecture, internal linking

- SEO Technical analysis such as improving page speed, solving mobile usability errors.

- Complete and detailed website audits

- Basic knowledge of off-page SEO and Content Marketing

Required Skill-set:

- Excellent team management, planning, analytical and organizational skills.

- Ability to prioritize and manage changing requirements and short timelines, as well as multiple overlapping projects simultaneously.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Self-motivated, with a well-developed ability to grasp assignments and execute them from inception to completion.

Qualification :

- 6 - 8 years of SEO experience

- Background of preferred candidates

- Experience in edtech, travel, content focused start-ups

- Experience in International SEO
