Vedact Advisors - CTO - IIT/IIM

We are looking for a CTO for a new start up to be based out of CHENNAI. The start up is a perfect amalgamation of an offline and online venture that is unique, one of a kind and is a sister concern of a well established real estate group. We are looking for a CTO to assist the CO FOUNDERS in building up the business model to make it a pan India brand, build traction (digitally and otherwise) and enhance valuation.

The start up which is a furniture and design online and offline venture with an experiential format is being built up by some of the leading minds of the hard goods, real estate, vc and internet business thereby evolving it into one of the largest furniture & decor retail brands in India in the next 3 years.

We are looking for a young (or someone who thinks young and on the feet) CTO who is acclimatized with the best practises in this business (online, eCommerce and internet) with the ability to take calculated and quirky risks (including ambush marketing) and would not just love to literally make this a kick ass business model but also make money out of it!

Type / skills / profession looking for :

- A hardcore techie with a sense of aesthetics, web architecture, blah and blah to MAKE IT CLICK (PS: & make Apps with eyes closed)

- The CODING master...

- Eat, Drink & Breath eCommerce (& Dunk us in it too)

- A team LEADER who can do everything with a tinge of fun, drive everyone nuts with how to outdo the competition and someone the team can put a hand around and tweet "what a boss!"

- A GURU in making the model effective, updated and pre empt getting redundant & proactively stay relevant

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or has equivalent work experience) + Prior Startup Exp is a Plus + Prior Development of E-Comm Marketplaces is good.

- A person who has also exposure to designing products & has worked on multiple platforms.

- Who are we kidding we need someone to get the work done and would be stupidest thing to expect only guys from IIT & IIM to do it as long as someone doesn't say "Its GEEK to me"
