This unenviable job of procuring these - Tail End- MRO items often takes up more than 80% of the purchase personnel's time but the value of these items is usually less than 15% of the total purchase done by companies.

Job Description :

Roles and responsibilities :

- We are looking for leader to head the Category with 4-6 years of sales & marketing experience in Industrial consumables category with minimum 1 year in a marketing role which includes new product launch and portfolio gross margin management.

- The candidate needs to maintain and develop the business growth in accordance with the organizations agreed goals.

- The candidate is responsible to provide effectiveness through leadership, streamlined processes, knowledge and creating the best environment for the people across each department to deliver the required and identified metrics.

Preferred Skills :

- Ensure a relevant and optimum range of products/ brands are made available for sales within the categories managed

- Gather insights from end-customers & influencers (procurement consultants etc.) about various needs in relevant areas

- Track market trends & competitive activities

- Generate product ideas based on above insights

- Lead new product idea prioritization based on opportunity attractiveness & internal capabilities

- Use the "Design for Six Sigma" framework to work in cross-functional teams & lead commercialization of new products/ addition to category

- Design & implement product launch plans working with the Marketing Communication & Sales team

- Achieve New Product Sales as per division goals

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- Support Pricing & Gross Margin management for the category

- Annual, Quarterly and monthly sales & gross margin planning for the assigned category

- Track, analyse & recommend strategies for achieving the Product Mix sales & gross margin goals

- Manage the Warranty program where applicable

- Create smart specification sheets, sales guide & other necessary sales tools for the category(ies)

- Plan and implement programs to increase awareness, reach and create demand for the category assigned

- Manage the sampling process with appropriate effectiveness metrics

- Lead the SKU management process (optimize no of SKUs)

- Support the Forecasting & Inventory management process

- Own the product complaint redressal process working with the technical, QC & Supply Chain teams

- Own the process of timely updation of product information on company websites, literature and other marketing communications

- Garner support from the principals to ensure availability and marketing support for the products listed/ sold through Vaxia

- Work with the principals to monetise Vaxia infrastructure for marketing & demand generation activities - Digital Marketing services, On-Ground promotional campaigns where vaxia has physical presence, Product display revenue stream etc.

- Create & Drive Sales Incentive programs to achieve the target topline and GM for the assigned categories

- Lead internal & external product training initiatives to ensure effective and consistent selling process

Qualification, Education & Experience Requirements :

- BE / MBA from premier institution like IIM, XIMB, ISB, etc with 4-6 years of sales & marketing experience in Industrial consumables category with minimum 1 year in a marketing role which includes new product launch and portfolio gross margin management
