1. Responsible for monthly forecasting process to ensure that proper processes are in place in the plant for accurate forecasting of both income statement and balance sheet items 2. Plays an active role in the strategic and profit planning processes of the plant and is expected to provide accurate and meaningful financial information to all members of the plant management team in order to ensure the plant achieves its financial objectives. 3. Execute capex planning of the plant after consulting the BU Financial Controller 4. Evaluate financial due diligence for new deals, provide inputs to the plant management before taking up new projects and own the project cash flow development. 5. Manage net working capital requirements through monitoring and ensuring effective cash flow management and efficient inventory management across the plant; provide an overview to BU Financial Controller. 6. Collaborate with Internal Audit team to identify risks and create risk management frameworks specific to the plant & ensure implementation of it across the plant. 7. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to ensure correct internal controls, make financial processes more efficient or effective and/or reduce cycle time. 8. Coordinate with IA team to ensure audits are conducted timely and drive corrective action plan within plant. 9. Ensures appropriate application of cost accounting / management for effective decision making and product costing and in compliance with the BU plant costing cell; 10. Emphasizes profitability of the plant at all times and challenges the business team to consistently improve operationally. 11. Ensures new quotations and new products are priced properly. 12. Discuss and recommend transfer pricing systems and evaluate effect of transfer prices. 13. Analyse profitability, productivity and costs within the plant and provide feedback and reports to the Plant Head and the BU Financial Controller. 14. Ensure the team is timely updated on regulatory and statutory changes. 15. Responsible for training and building up a talented financial organization within the Plant. 16. Assess the performance of direct reports and provide them with developmental feedback and support. 17. Ensures that TDS Payments / Returns, Service Tax Credits / Returns, VAT Returns etc. of the Plant are adhered to. 18. Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, monthly accounts closing, statutory audit etc. activities of the Plant. 19. P&L A/c, Budget v/s actual etc. of the Plant Finance. 20. Cashflow forecast, payments to vendors, employees and statutory dues etc. of the Plant.
