Lead - Product Marketing (Varroc Engineering - Aftermarket Division)
Base Location : Aurangabad, Maharashtra
Role Summary :
This is a strategic role which will understand the market potential for the product portfolio, customer needs and our offerings, prepare GTM (go to Market) strategy, competition analysis and will create a marketing program to increase the sale & profitability of the product category.
Type of Role : Individual Contributor - Travel %: 30-40%
Ideal Profile :
- Academics : MBA (good to have, not mandatory), B.Tech. preferred
- Experience : 3-15 years of experience in Product Marketing, preferably managing new product development, marketing strategy
- Strong knowledge/interest in the automobile industry preferred
Reports to : Operations Head (closely working with Pan India Sales team and Business Leadership team)
Market Research :
- Conduct the market research and estimate the potential analysis of particular product category.
- Identify feasibility, customer requirement, and competitive scenario.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category business plans.
Product Portfolio Management :
- Curate and manage the product portfolio within the assigned category.
- Analyse product performance and make data-driven plans.
- Ensuring product profitability through optimum scheme spends & cost optimization.
- Introduce new products to enhance the category offering and meet business potential.
Sales Strategy & Execution Plan :
- Develop and execute strategies to drive category sales and achieve revenue targets.
- To create effective promotions and pricing strategies.
- Understand Value Proposition - Understanding Customer Needs and our Offering.
- Prepare Competition analysis and Pricing Strategy
- Design & develop Sales promotional schemes to increase the sales & profitability.
Marketing & Promotions :
- Create effective marketing promotions and activation programs.
- Coordinate with third party agencies to carry out activations.
Vendor Management :
- Suggest technological developments affecting the demand scenario with time (e.g. trends in BS6, NPD for Honda/Hero/TVS bikes etc.)
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with VD team for favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements to optimize margins.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with marketing teams to create impactful campaigns and promotions.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and on-time delivery.
- Conducting training and product knowledge sessions for the sales team
