Job Description : Copy Editor

- As a copy editor at Value Research, you will be responsible for handling investment-related content for our website and various publications.

- You will work closely with a team of analysts and act as an interface between them and readers. In that capacity, your job will entail not just editing copies for language but also rewriting, reorganising, simplifying and doing whatever else is required to make them more reader-friendly. Doing this will require a unique combination of skills, which are described below.

Writing skills :

- You must have a good command of English and should be able to edit, write and rewrite investment articles. We prefer a simple, conversational and eloquent style of writing.

- You will also be required to write for our website and social-media pages. Hence, you should be able to condition your writing as per the publishing medium.

Analytical skills : Since the articles will entail substantial use of data and charts, you must have basic mathematical skills and know basic MS Excel operations, such as drawing charts, organising data, performing key mathematical operations, etc. Consequently, you should be able to read charts and data.

Knowledge of investments : You must have basic knowledge of investments, such as stocks, mutual funds and fixed income.

Experience required : It's not essential that you have a background in finance. Even if you are working in a different area but you possess the skills described above, we would be happy to consider you. However, you must have a minimum experience of two years in an editing role
