Equity Research Analyst - Indian Stocks

A Chicago-based rapidly growing & award-wining international asset management firm with Indian FII license active in India is seeking a research analyst to conduct fundamental, bottom-up research on Emerging Markets equities, with a special focus on India. Research will include financial modelling, valuation analysis, processing earnings reports updates, industry analysis, strategic and competitive analysis, interactions with company management (in conjunction with portfolio team), and other investment due diligence including stakeholder, corporate governance, and qualitative risk reviews.

- The analyst will provide regular updates on existing portfolio holdings, monitor India market macroeconomic developments and trading activity, and, eventually, present new ideas for investment consideration. We strongly prefer candidates who have lived studied or worked in PUNE.

- This is a buy-side equity research function. We are NOT a KPO/BPO; the candidate will work directly for an international buy-side fund management firm in Chicago.

- Candidates will interact with the CEO/CFO of companies under coverage on a regular ongoing basis, which will be a tremendous opportunity for the analyst.

- Preferred qualifications include 2 to 4 years of post undergrad/MBA experience in financial analysis, investment research, or other relevant quantitative analysis roles.

- Successful candidate will have a demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strong desire to learn about fundamental investment analysis.

- Experience with IS/CF/BS statement financial modelling is required. Bloomberg terminal knowledge is a plus.
