The position holder is responsible for:
- Supporting the Head - Personnel in Planning and coordinating Personnel / Employee Relations activities of the organization to ensure Statutory and Regulatory compliance.
- Implement strategic initiatives aligned with overall Human Resources objectives and policy matters considering changes in regulatory provisions, Best Practices in Industry
- Independently work on Projects which are of a Strategic Nature, co-ordinate, manage implementation schedules, report any deviations/delays in projects
- Ideate on new structures, processes, optimal utilization of OS Manpower and ensure insulate the company from statutory risks
- Constantly monitor changes in the statutory environment and advice internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Ensure adherence to statutory compliances in respect of all Establishments / Printing Locations of the company's pan India.
- Monitor and ensure optimum deployment and utilization of Outsourced Manpower. Analyse, propose, and implement cost reduction, automation, and derisking the processes from statutory risks under various applicable statutes
- Advise Locational SPOCs on legal, statutory, and compliance matters under varied labor statutes.
- Analyze and suggest Compensation and Benefits policies, and learning programs in the Contract Workforce domain to ensure retention of talent, and increase productivity.
- Develop amiable relations and periodic Liaison with statutory authorities, trade union leaders, influencers, and other stakeholders negotiate bargaining agreements and help interpret labor contracts.
- Plan, organize or coordinate the training on statutory and Employee relations activities, Represent the organization at related hearings and investigations.
- Study legislation, reported case laws/ decisions, collective bargaining contracts, organization structuring by competitors to assess industry trends and report significant changes to the management
- Develop and/or administer special projects in areas such as contract manpower engagement, news agency contracts.
- Define Statutory Audit scope, Schedules, and Audit plan. Ensure execution of Audit schedules, publish the findings to HR Leadership, and initiate and monitor corrective actions.
- Help and guide group companies on demand, offer guidance and support in the core areas of significant Legislation Changes, and matters concerning the common interest of the group.
Qualifications :
Postgraduate in Human Resources. Must have minimum 15 years' experience in managing Employee Relations and statutory and regulatory compliances in a large manufacturing / Service Industry. Minimum 5 years experience in a Leadership position. Graduation in Law preferred.
