Chief Audit Officer

Job Brief :

- As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the incumbent will have responsibility for all internal audit functions and oversight of financial governance including business integrity. This person will be the chief business advisory and risk person in the company.

- S/he will support the accomplishment of strategic objectives and help ensure that established financial, operational and compliance practices, and the related controls, are designed and operating effectively.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Responsible for and has the authority to make all decisions on Audit related activities for the company. These include both the business and support functions of the company. S/he will develop the audit vision that provides timely information with bias and absolute integrity to business leaders.

2. Should improve customer care by initiating improvements to the financial control and auditing process

3. Set the strategy for Internal Audit and Governance-function alignment for the company. Draws on diverse sources of information (e.g., competitor, industry, economic) to develop strategies and identify compliance-related risks in the company and helps in conducting regular audits to minimise them.

4. Provides leadership in the development of audit plans, procedures and programs to evaluate the adequacy of the company's internal control environment.

5. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with external auditors as and when needed, to ensure the effectiveness of service delivery and appropriate resolution of findings/issues identified.

6. Will be responsible for the design and implementation of governance and internal controls for Avanti

7. You will need to be an innovative, forward-thinking professional who doesn't mind digging into data and searching for potential loopholes and vulnerabilities.

8. Will develop new audit programs to ensure adequate financial controls. Should also be able to systematically create an infrastructure that performs inquiries and testing as needed to identify and resolve vulnerabilities

9. Will interact with the Board on all issues related to audit

10. Should have experience in production environment and should be able to translate physical processes into digital processes.

Unique Knowledge & Skill Requirement :

1. Infosec audit experience will be an added advantage.

2. Experience in a management role, leading knowledge in the Internal audit domain

3. Exposure to complexities related to audit in companies of size and nature, similar to Avanti Finance

Operating Environment : Drive towards delivery to the end customer is critical. Also, the ability to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team member is a required ability.
