US Taxation Role

Job Description:

- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns and work-papers for partnerships, S corporations and individuals

- Extensive experience in rental and real estate tax returns

- Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules

- Review financial statements & PYTRs, evaluating any errors, prepare AJEs

- Understand partnerships agreements and allocations

- Review real estate transactions like 1031 exchanges, gain allocations.

- Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team

- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax processes

- Gather appropriate materials regarding yearly tax tables, instructions, and forms to accurately calculate taxes

- Inform client of important paperwork and documentation needed to complete tax forms accurately

- Assist in preparation of process notes and training material including continuous updation and implementation

Requirements:

- Understanding of US tax provisions, tax laws and tax compliances

- Strong accounting and analytical skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct

- Ability to train team members

- Self-starter with excellent organizational and prioritisation skills

- Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task

- Minimum two years of US Tax experience in partnerships (RREs) and individual tax returns

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Lacerte

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting/ finance

- Fully or part qualified CPA/ ACCA/ CA (only desirable)
