UrbanHunt is a technology start-up by IIT alumni with a vision of disrupting offline shopping experience. It is a location-based personal shopping assistant that helps shoppers discover their favorite fashion and personalizes the experience based on their context, preferences and lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

- Code for life and own everything you do! Innovate every single day: develop, debug and repeat!

- Mentor your junior members/peers and lead technology team by designing a clear roadmap as well as specific standards & procedures to follow.

- Build robust technology architecture, content management system and everything in between.

- Implement a set of services and APIs to optimize the backend for speed and scalability.

- Work on location-based services and algorithms to extract relevant user data.

- Develop algorithms and frameworks to tap in user context and implement ML/NLP algorithms to personalize the experience.

What we are looking for:

- Excellent understanding of object oriented programming, data structures, AI, algorithmic optimizations, multithreading etc.

- At least 2-3 years of experience of developing Python applications & frameworks (Django, Flask) and software development lifecycle: analysis, development, installation, integration, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

- Must have a strong knowledge of RESTful API design concepts, Client/Server architecture, HTTP Protocols as well as strong relational database background with an emphasis on MySQL.

- Good understanding of ML/NLP as well as various data mining and processing techniques.

- Sound knowledge of android app development, SEO, ASO with a good grasp of user experience.

- Expertise in computer vision & image processing would be a huge plus.

- Degree in computer science or related fields from the premier institutes is preferable but not a must.

- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal and presentation skills.

- Most importantly, an excellent team member with a strong desire to learn and make a difference!

Compensation: Founder's Equity/ESOP only as of now.

The suitable candidate will be the Core Team member and lead all the technical aspects of the venture.
