The platform helps customers hire reliable and trusted service professionals, be it beauticians, plumbers, yoga trainers or wedding photographers. UrbanClap was founded in 2014, and over the past 3 years, has scaled to all major metros of India, building a hand-picked network of over 75,000 service professionals. What drives us? The local and home services industry is very fragmented and unorganized. Prior to UrbanClap, hiring a plumber, beautician, yoga trainer, math tutor etc. was a painful process. There were no standards, no concept of trust, pricing inefficiencies etc. In a nutshell, the industry was shackled in the - yellow pages- era, and had seen no fundamental innovation for far too long. The UrbanClap team is young and passionate, and we see a massive disruption opportunity in this industry. Overall responsibility for developing controls, identifying potential leakages and preparing the providers/merchant payout, payment gateway reconciliation and ensuring accurate accounting of revenue - Revenue Processes - Lead the overall financial control framework for UrbanClap and build strong financial controls. - Lead the automation of providers/merchant payouts with the Product team - Develop processes around providers advance and payouts - Reconciliation of providers/merchant payouts after accounting deductions, UC revenue etc. - Timely payment of providers/merchant on an alternate day - Ensuring day to day payment gateway reconciliations. - Fortnightly NODAL account reconciliations. - Handling providers/merchant day to day queries, if any - Day to day interaction with business team to ensure timely recovery of professional advance/ loans - Coordination with internal auditors for ensuring timely internal audit and ICOFR reporting. Who are we looking for 1. A CA (2-3 years work ex) /MBA finance (4-5 years of work ex) in internal audit preferably in Big4s 2. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven decision-making mentality 3. Prior experience of working in a startup environment will be a plus. 4. Hustle and get things done attitude
