Director Marketing - Bridge to Luxury Lifestyle Brand - Stealth Mode


Who Are We ?

We are a bunch of Fashion and Lifestyle Enthusiasts who want to create a Bridge-to-Luxury Lifestyle Brand for India. As Indians climb up the affluence ladder, there is a wide need gap of Luxury Fashion that is Made for Indians without really burning a hole in their pockets. As we build our product portfolio, we are looking to hire Director Marketing in our founding team who will work closely with the Founder to define the tenets and ethos of the brand, visual cues, and guidelines across touch points, GTM Strategy for Offline and Digital.

Job Description :

The purpose of this position is to head up the entire brand operations from sales, marketing, brand management, new product development and managing all the customer touchpoints with a focus on the entire 4P gamut of marketing. The incumbent will be solely responsible for the entire strategy of the brand in the offline and online space and have the top & bottom-line accountability lying with them.

Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Define the brand playbook and brand identity and build cues - visual, emotional and functional for both online and offline play.

2. Develop launch GTM strategy and work with agencies (creative, media, digital, etc.) to create a launch plan and execute the launch plan as per defined guidelines.

3. Develop mid to long term sales and marketing strategy that supports exponential growth for the brand.

4. Own the product innovation and ensure complete product lifecycle management for all the offerings: Rapid launch for low-medium stakes and full risk managed innovation process for high stakes innovation.

5. Driving performance on all performance-marketing channels such as Google, FB etc, as well as organic, direct and affiliate sources of revenue and traffic.

6. Create visual identity and content for social media which builds brand saliency across FB/Insta/Twitter etc. leading to TOM recall.

7. Understand Consumer insights by analyzing and identifying opportunities from consumer data to recommend trends and actions to ensure market leadership and growth in revenue and build on the luxury brand equity.

8. Work in liaison with the Designer/Product Team to forecast the trends, NPD planning and development and Season Launch.

9. Liaison with the visual merchandising team for brief of VM team.

10. Monitor the performance of the branding initiatives / campaigns and make necessary course corrections if mandated

Profile :

- Really passionate about building and scaling brands

- Must ideally have about 8 -12 years of experience in brand management

- Ideally from FMCG and apparel lifestyle background

- MBA from tier 1 institutes preferred

- Ability to work in unstructured and fast paced environment

- Location - Bangalore
