Mr. Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons has also made a personal investment in Urban Ladder.  In February 2014, Urban Ladder bagged the "Best Digital Start-up" Award at the fourth India Digital Awards organised by IAMAI.   Why is this role important:  You will act as the P&L owner for the category and be responsible for key metrics including Revenue, Margins, Inventory, New Product Introductions. You will be responsible for range Planning: Mix of research, active consumer feedback, competition analysis resulting in a plan for the category including materials, use-cases, price points, no of products, use-cases. You will have to work with vendors and in-house design team to come up with continuous product introductions in the category. Working with vendors and in-house domain specialist teams to bring this to reality. You will be working with various ecosystems, manufacturers, materials, negotiating rates, approving prototypes. You will also be responsible for Supply Chain Configuration, which will include-Plan a Supply Chain that optimizes SLAs, margins and bandwidth. You will also be responsible for:  - Product Positioning: Drive product positioning dialogue in the company based on Market Analysis and Consumer insights  - Product Launch Coordination: Engage with functions such as Marketing, Customer-Service, Engineering, Operations and Finance to coordinate a flawless product launch  - Constant Product availability: Identify hit products, ensure strong inventory planning based on constraints, ensure constant availability with a tight check on inventory  - Interventions to boost category revenues: Keep a tab on data-trends to identify blips; come-up with timely interventions to give a revenue-boost  Primary Skills and Functional Experience:  - Extremely high level of ownership, drive and initiative supported by prior track record  - 2+ years of work experience in a role with P&L responsibility in sales and marketing or operations (premier consulting companies, startups)  Competencies required for Success in This Role  - Customer Focus  - Quality of Work  - Problem Solving  - Ownership & Drive  - Collaboration and Teamwork  - Creativity and Innovation
