Urban Company - Head - Legal The opportunity at hand : - We are currently looking to hire a strong candidate to head our Legal team and report to our CFO. Our team is very lean and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. We work extremely closely with all teams across all geographies. - You will need to understand the priorities of each team and the challenges they are facing. You will work with each internal team to co-create solutions with them to strengthen Urban Company and mitigate all legal risk. - You will also be responsible for building and managing all of our compliance processes. Your work will push you to be highly creative, have principled thinking, manage work in a fast growing and chaotic environment, and have a high quality bar. Apply now if this sounds like you : - 10 - 12 years' of experience in a law firm and/or in-house. The ideal candidate will have a good mix of both law firm as well as in-house experience. - The ability to think logically and articulate your thoughts in a clear and concise manner. - You are not concerned with organisational hierarchy and are comfortable speaking with everyone from the junior most to senior most levels. - Able to understand and talk technology. An early adopter of new apps, a fan of how things work. - Entrepreneurial spirit and craving the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. If youve worked on a startup or as an early member of a startup, you already know what to expect. - Prior experience working with (or advising) e-commerce companies is not essential but will be good to have. - Prior experience with litigation/dispute resolution and experience working/liaising with international law firms are good to have.
