Head of Engineering / Maintenance - Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities within unit. - Ensures all engineering small projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. - Direct and coordinate production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance in plants. Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff. - Discuss and lay out project specifications. - Make detailed plans to accomplish goals. - Prepare, budgets. - Responsible for Engineering Services, Small Project(Capex raised by Unit); Plan, Execution, monitoring and completion. - Contribute for improvement in systems and practices to ensure adequate care for various Machines. - Ensure that all the physical facilities and production equipment are maintained. - Ensure Preventive and Breakdown maintenance are done as per plan and timely. - Co-ordinate with various Contractors and ensure service contracts. - Liaison with Regulatory Authorities and ensure statutory compliance. - To provide support for Energy conservation. - Impart training to subordinates as apart of Technical Training and On Job Training. - Co-ordination with the concerned department and QA for Qualification of equipment / utilities / facilities / PLCs and Validation activities. - Handling and providing support for the deviation and the Quality management system (QMS) related investigation and risk assessment. - Authorized to sign all Engineering Documents. - Ensure Maintenance of all the Utility Equipment are performed as per system. - Ensure and review timely preparation & Maintenance of Engineering SOPs and approve engineering SOPs. - Ensure to implementation of EMS aspects as per safety norm. - Ensure maintain and preserve EMS documents are done timely and correctly. - Work allocation and monitoring for engineering and safety staff. - Ensuring safety in the plant. - Ensure Calibration of all the types of Instruments are done timely. - Ensure Maintenance of Communication system.
