upGrad is an online education company co-founded by Ronnie Screwvala. We create cutting-edge online courses for working professionals in Data Sciences and ML, Software Engineering and Management. Some of our most successful programs, such as Data Science, Big Data Engineering, Blockchain Development, Digital Marketing, Product Management, MBA, etc. intake a few thousand students every year and are growing rapidly. We will be launching multiple new programs in the near future.

You have an opportunity to lead and run such programs as a Program Manager in the Content Team. As a Program Manager, you will lead the content team creating some of these programs.

The ideal fit for this profile are candidates with:

- 2-5 years of total work experience in consulting firms / product companies / fast growing startups / edtech companies etc.

- Project Management / PMO office experience

- Education (Bachelors) from Tier-I or Tier-II engineering/commerce colleges

- Experience managing teams of at least 6-10 people, project management, stakeholder management (clients/business partners/vendors etc.)

- (Optional, good to have) A high-level understanding of emerging technologies

Some of your key roles will be to:

- Create a vision and skeleton for the program by conducting in-depth research of the users and the industry:

- Understand the target users and identify potential career outcomes by conducting research with potential recruiters / industry experts

- Develop a vision and brief of the program - primary and secondary audiences, target career outcomes, broad curriculum, etc.

For e.g. if you are launching a Blockchain for Managers program, you will identify and understand the target audience who will take up the program, identify the potential jobs / career outcomes that they may get after the program, understand the job roles and skill sets in detail, and develop an overall vision and skeleton of the program. You will work closely with a curriculum lead and industry experts to do this.

- Lead and manage the content team working on the program to ensure that high quality content is created within timelines and budget:

- Conduct project planning and budgeting

- Source and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts, professors, instructors, vendors etc.

- Lead and manage the content team to ensure smooth production of content

- Build and implement processes to drive efficiencies and reduce costs

- Collaborate with and manage key stakeholders - business teams, partners (universities, companies, industry experts, vendors), leadership and senior management teams, etc.
